Wide Awake is an independent festival for music fans looking for something different. Expanding to a two-day event for 2022, we’ll once again be bringing you notes from the underground, embracing leftfield Indie, Post Punk, Electronica, Techno, Jazz and more. Expect a musical melting pot of critically acclaimed sounds, with each day having its own identity.
Saturday’s showcase will once again play host to some of the best up-and-coming talent around, alongside our favourite bands. Primal Scream headline, playing an iconic album that’s had an influence on many of the acts on our bill. It’s also the first time they’ve played Screamadelica in full live for the first time in a decade. The six-stage line-up also features Alex Cameron, Amyl & The Sniffers, Billy Nomates, Boy Harsher, Connan Mockasin, Croatian Amor, Dream Wife, Fatoumata Diawara, Faye Webster, Floating Points, Katy J Pearson, Kevin Morby, Overmono (Live), Surfbort, The Comet Is Coming, The Horrors, Tropical Fuckstorm, Vladimir Ivkovic, Yard Act and many more.
Friday’s line-up has an emphasis on electronica, with a headline set from Bicep, one of the the best groups currently working in their genre. Other highlights on a leftfield electronic line-up include Caribou, Optimo and Working Mens Club, with Bugged Out!, Snap Crackle and Pop and South London’s own Corsica Studios curating four stages.
We strive to have an equitable gender split across our line-up and 2022 will see the continuation of our ‘Positive Policy’, set up to help change the way in which live music events take responsibility for actions towards our planet.
Environmentally conscious, socially aware and musical relevant, Wide Awake’s a party for people who care about music and more.
See you in the park!
