Wide Awake and sister festivals Mighty Hoopla and Cross The Tracks (the Summer Events Series) are committed to making sure that the event management plans minimise disruption to park users and the local community. The organisers are also actively looking to engage residents with the event and create opportunities for performers, traders and workers from the local area to be involved, as well as ongoing investment into a local community fund.
In order to engage with the local community and see how we could improve the running of our event in 2022, we will be hosting two community webinar sessions. These will take place on Zoom on the following dates:

Summer Events Community Fund 2022
Following the Mighty Hoopla, Cross The Tracks and Wide Awake events (the Summer Events Series) in Brockwell Park in 2019 & 2021, the organisers launched the Summer Events Community Fund.
The fund consisted of guestlist contributions paid by all attendees on the events guest list. The fund was open to local individuals, charities, organisations and local groups that are connected to Brockwell Park and its local area and provide activity or projects linked with both the park and the surrounding area. In 2019 we distributed £12,450 and in 2021 £21,460.00
The 2021 Summer Events Community Fund is now closed for applications. Thank you to everyone who applied! Please check back after the Summer Events 2022 when we will be announcing details of the 2022 Community Fund and how you can apply.
Local Resident Ticket Ballot
An allocation of free resident tickets are set aside for local residents. These are allocated on a ballot basis, with a maximum of 2 tickets per household and are selected at random. Our annual ballot for free tickets for local residents goes live on Monday 24th January 2022 and will be active for two months. Please check back for more details.
